Putting Together Coolest Gaming Desktop
Thinking about putting together the coolest gaming desktop? The ongoing debate whether or not Razer is the top provider of gaming accessories is hard to follow and ultimately you’ll find that it all comes down to one thing; Are you or are you not a Razer fan?

Most hardcore gamers seem to think Razer knows what they’re doing but some still stick to other manufacturers. Like any other product out there, tech products receive scores from users and experts but how do you know who to trust? Do you want to be mainstream or do you strive to be different?

Looking at some different gaming mice and keyboards Razer is the most frequent manufacturer that pops up. Are they really that good or have they just succeded in their brand advertising? Usually it’s a a bit of both.

New Technology: Air-Condition Computer Chips

New Technology: Air-Condition Computer Chips
Purdue University scientists have taken a new method from air conditioner technology in their next innovation for a whole new way to cool down ever-more powerful pc/ computer chips. Their new experimental system, which flushes a refrigerant through tiny channels cut into chips, is intended for the high-demand power electronics found in radar system and advanced weapons systems such as laser-based weapons, said Issam Mudawar, an engineer in medical field (professor at Purdue).

A team member: Mudawar, who’s in lead of the research, said the air-condition computer chips cooling system should be able to cool the chips that produce higher than 1000 watts of heat for about every half-inch square of circuitry. He said that would be a fivefold increase over the heat-removing abilities of existing systems that typically rely on air-cooling to waft heat away from microprocessors.

“Basically what we’re doing is opening the window of opportunity in terms of heat dissipation, so that chip developers can make more aggressive chips, more demanding chips,” said Mudawar.

How Often Should You Clean Your Windows Vista Registry?

Posted by kento On March - 15 - 2008

Windows Vista Tips From InternetGecko.com
On the Internet, you will find several Web sites promoting the use of Registry programs. These Web sites make you aware of the importance of registry maintenance and how registry programs can simplify the process.  However, there is very little information available on how often you need to scan the registry.

Quite often, we hear people asking you to clean up your registry on a daily basis. However, the truth is that there are no specific set norms that control how often you need to clean your Windows Vista registry.

In fact, the frequency of registry repair and clean up activity depends on several factors. For instance, if your computer is new and you do not make any major changes to it, you may not need to perform a registry scan for a long time.

Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Is A Super Computer?

Posted by kento On February - 28 - 2008

Sony Playstation 3 in research of supercomputer
Do you know what is Sony Playstation 3 (PS3)? Did you believe that there’s a supercomputer has been built from Sony Playstation 3? If you still doesn’t know anything about it yet, here’s the story. From the lab of University of Massachusetts, there’s ongoing a research projects of their group that involve supercomputing in Physics. This project broadly deals with estimating properties of the gravity waves produced by the merger of two black holes. Gravitational waves are “ripples” in space-time that travel at the speed of light. These were theoretically predicted by Einstein’s general relativity, but have never been directly observed.

Do You Know What Is PC Overclocking?

Posted by kento On February - 6 - 2008

Intel Core 2 Duo Processor OverclockDid you guys out there knows what is exactly computer’s overclocking? Actually, not many people know what it is & many of them don’t ever figured it out or ever heard ‘overclocking’ term. Anyway, lets ‘overclock’ your knowledge with this post. Read the rest here to get you on the line!

Here’s some answer & responds that i’ve got from YahooTech-Question and Answers:

Best answer:
Overclocking, basically pushes the chips/cards to the limit. It does this buy running more voltage to the Cpu (processor) memory or Graphics, there are many sites that will show you how to do this, try googling overclocking its easy and you can get at little more power out of your computer doing this. However manifacturers condem you doing this as, the components get hot, i mean really hot. So there is a chance you could burn out something. I would not recomend you do this on a laptop though. As you cannot add water cooling or extra fans so you WILL burn something out. try here for more info though. – by flikapotamus

AMD’s Quad Core Phenom: The Next Processing Power

Posted by kento On November - 22 - 2007

AMD's Quad Core PhenomIntel has been selling quad-core CPUs for what seems like ages now, with current products ranging from the Core 2 Q6600 up to the new QX9650. The latter is based on Intel’s new Yorkfield processor refresh at 45nm. AMD, then, is late to the quad-core party. Having just launched its new 4-core “Barcelona” Opteron processors for servers, AMD is now catching up on the desktop front with the same architecture for desktop chips.

These 65nm chips may lag a bit behind Intel in the “delivering quad-core to desktops” race, but they’re not without their own tricks. For starters, these chips are what AMD calls “True Quad Core,” meaning that a single piece of silicon contains all four cores. Intel’s quad chips actually contain two dual-core CPUs together in a single package.

Last week AMD invited some press to benchmark their new Spider platform, consisting of Phenom CPUs, 790-series chipsets, and the new Radeon 3800 series graphics cards (in configurations up to quad-GPU). We ran a few numbers, but we can’t consider this our formal review of the processor. The systems we tested were built and set up by AMD, and while we could poke around all we wanted, we don’t review chips unless we have full control of the testing environment.
