Gaming Consoles Battle News: XBox 360,PS3,Wii

XBox 360,Sony PS3, Nintendo WiiThe pricing of an announcement of the Playstation 3 is $499 (20GB) and $599 (60GB). This made it officially the most expensive gaming console compared to the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. Now that we’re a little more than a month away from this year’s busiest shopping season, lets see what new announcements have been made regarding prices and release dates for these three gaming devices.

Playstation 3: Sony will release its much anticipated Playstation 3 in the United States on November 17, and the good news is that the price has dropped in Japan to $410, which could only be a good sign for U.S. gamers. The price drop announcement was made following Microsoft’s HD DVD upgrade, and price announcement at the Tokyo Game Show 2006. Sony will only deliver two million consoles, instead of the four million it planned to launch in the U.S. and Japan, so expect a shortage. Unfortunately, U.S. gamers still have to wait on the final price of the PS3.

Xbox 360: As you know, Microsoft will roll out an external HD DVD player for Xbox 360 that will play high-definition movies, and a price of $170 has already been announced in Japan. The company also plans to release a software upgrade that can handle a 1080p resolution, and over 100 high-definition games, according to Newsfactor. Pricing and availability have not been announced in the U.S.

Nintendo Wii: Despite the lack of fancy HD technology, Nintendo is expected to outsell Sony’s Playstation 3 this season due to its low-price of $249, and innovative controller. Release date for the Nintendo Wii is November 19.

So, which one you will buy? I’m a big fans of Sony, exactly PS3 for me!
