Thinking about putting together the coolest gaming desktop? The ongoing debate whether or not Razer is the top provider of gaming accessories is hard to follow and ultimately you’ll find that it all comes down to one thing; Are you or are you not a Razer fan?

Most hardcore gamers seem to think Razer knows what they’re doing but some still stick to other manufacturers. Like any other product out there, tech products receive scores from users and experts but how do you know who to trust? Do you want to be mainstream or do you strive to be different?

Looking at some different gaming mice and keyboards Razer is the most frequent manufacturer that pops up. Are they really that good or have they just succeded in their brand advertising? Usually it’s a a bit of both.

According to the gaming community two of the best gaming mice are Logitch G5 and Razer Copperhead. I took a look at a site called Testfreaks.com and according to their Freak score there are two other mice that are better; Cyber Snipa Stinger Mouse(Freak score 10) and Razer Diamonback 3G (Freak score 9.7). That’s interesting considering a lot of sites have different opinions on the matter.

And if you thought it was hard to pick out a gaming mouse, you should try looking up gaming keyboards. It’s a jungle out there. When browsing some different sites I got the idea that Razer Lycosa was considered the best gaming keyboard out there (which wasn’t a big surprise). When I checked the Freak scores on Testfreaks.com that keyboard was tied with two other keyboards; Microsoft Reclusa (which happens to be a joint production with Razer) and iRocks KR-6810 X-SLIM . I’m not even sure if the latter is a gaming keyboard but evidently it received some nice scores.

So from my point of view it all boils down to one question when you’re looking to upgrade your gaming desktop: Are you or are you not a Razer fan? And I think you and I both know the only way to find that out… try their products. In the end of the day who do we trust the most… the expert reviewers or our own experiences?
