In-car navigation systems are really becoming a driver’s must have add-ons accessory, so manufacturers are really adding some quite sophisticated hi-tech features to keep people/driver interested. Actually in Japan, for example, the big ‘H’: Honda has developed a crime rate detecting GPS (Global Positioning System) that will search through local police database records to inform drivers in real-time if they ever happen to drive by high crime areas.
The on-board navigational system to be installed in newer Honda cars will specifically alert drivers when they’re too close to any high risk areas where quite a number of cars have been previously stolen, damaged, or broken into according to a report by the AFP. Honda says there are no pending plans to add this hi-tech feature to navigation systems outside of Japan, but it would be nice if they did it huh?

I wish Honda will give it a go for this GPS functionality on their car in U.S

This hi-tech crime detection GPS should be implemented on all GPS devices i think, despite only on Honda’s car only.
