Dell XPS M1730 Laptop

Dell XPS m1730Gamers looking to frag up their Saturday nights with the latest gaming rig should check out Dell’s latest machine, the XPS M1730. Available in Bone White, Smoke Grey, Sapphire Blue, and Crimson Red, the notebook features SLI technology, which allows dual Nvidia GeForce Go 8700M GT processors to be linked together for cutting-edge graphical performance; twin hard drives that offer a whopping 500GB of storage (32GB and 64GB solid-state drives are also available); and a must for gamers: an overclockable Intel Extreme Edition Core 2 Duo X7900 processor.

The XPS M1730 is a notebook innovator: It’s the first to feature Ageia’s Mobile PhysX card for physics-enabled games, and the first with a built-in gaming LCD, a display near the power button that gives gamers access to vital in-game stats.

The notebook isn’t just for gamers, however; it’s a full-fledged multimedia machine. It can be configured with integrated mobile broadband for connect-anywhere Web access, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Dell MediaDirect, dual headphone jacks, noise-canceling earbuds, a remote, and a built-in webcam and mic. You can even watch Blu-ray movies on the 17-inch widescreen display. The XPS M1730 also sports an illuminated keyboard and Dell’s StrikeZone technology for handling the bumps of trekking the system to LAN parties.
