One thing is for sure for the iPhone and the iPad users that the incorporation of Flash® in the iDevices not going to happen now or in the near future as well. Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple computers is very much of the view of discarding Flash® in the Apple handheld devices.

So keeping in view this dilemma, a new open-source project is launched called as SmokeScreen which aims at running Flash-based elements onto iPhone and iPad.

Basically, the schematics of Smokescreen are based upon the Flash player that is written in JavaScript. This Flash player can convert small parts of the contents like banners and swf videos into compatible format which can then run on the iDevices, may it be iPhone or iPad.
